Employee Spotlight: Stuart Letellier

Building Quality, One Saw at a Time

Nearly 20 years — two decades — at Scotchman Industries is quite an accomplishment, and Stuart Letellier has spent that time putting his experience, craftsmanship, and attention to detail into the products he builds.

Stuart leads our Saw Assembly Department, overseeing the team and ensuring everything runs smoothly. He works on the different variations and configurations, bringing each saw together with the care and attention to detail that quality workmanship requires. With so many products and configurations to work on, there’s always something a little different waiting for him each day.

“All the different variations of the saws — it never gets boring.”

That variety is a perfect fit for Stuart, who came to Scotchman with 14 years of carpentry experience. His background gave him years of hands-on experience and an appreciation for quality workmanship — something he continues to bring to his work today.

For Stuart, one of the best parts of his job is building new products and seeing the finished result come together. He takes particular pride in knowing that the work he does helps produce a quality product for Scotchman customers. When asked what professional accomplishment he's most proud of, his answer is simple: putting out a quality product!

One of the biggest challenges of his role is coordinating materials to fill orders. Since he handles the Sawing Assembly almost himself, with the help of one other, keeping the right materials moving and making sure everything comes together takes organization, independence, and attention to detail. It's all part of delivering the quality Stewart has become known for.

Outside of work, Stuart is happiest outdoors or spending time with family. He enjoys hunting, camping, fishing, woodworking, and carpentry projects at home. He also treasures time with his wife, their five combined children and 16 grandchildren. At home, two cats round out the family.

If Stuart could turn one of his favorite pastimes into a career, he wouldn't have to think long about it. His dream job would be a fishing and hunting guide. And his dream vacation would take him to Alaska for some serious halibut fishing.

His love of the outdoors also explains one of his favorite either-or choices: mountains over the beach and camping over a hotel. If he won the lottery, his first purchase would be a property in the mountains — a place where he could enjoy the things he loves most.

When it comes to inspiration, Stuart credits his wife. And when it comes to entertainment, he's a fan of classic rock, country music, and old western and action movies. He's recently been binge-watching Yellowstone, Marshals, and Hawaii Five-0. His computer background is a wedding photo — a fitting reminder of what matters most to him!

A Few of Stewart's Favorites

    • Muscle car or lifted Jeep: Lifted Jeep

    • Summer or winter: Both!

After nearly two decades with Scotchman, Stuart has certainly made his mark. Whether he's building a saw, helping bring a new product to life, working on a project at home, casting a line, or spending time with his family, he brings a practical, hardworking approach and a genuine pride in what he does.

We're grateful for the nearly 20 years of experience, dedication, and craftsmanship Stewart has brought to Scotchman Industries. Here's to the next chapter — and hopefully plenty of fishing, hunting, camping, and time with those 16 grandkids along the way!

Thanks for nearly two decades of hard work, Stuart!
